Introduction

To retain this enviable market position, SAP actively invests in attracting and nurturing the best talent. SAP’s Engineering Academy is a key part of this strategy. This purpose-built space is designed to educate the next generation of engineers and developers.

Challenges

Thinking ‘out-of-the-box’ and adopting a ‘growth-mindset’ isn’t always easy. You need to take people out of their comfort zone, expose them to new ideas, and challenge their preconceptions. Based at SAP’s San Ramon office in California, the Engineering Academy does exactly that. It’s a dynamic, immersive space that allows developers to build new connections and push the boundaries of what’s possible. It’s a living example of SAP’s core value of fostering creativity and innovation. By challenging participants to think beyond limits and express their ideas in new ways, SAP is shaping the next generation of developers and engineers.

Solution
We wanted to create a space that promotes free thinking and collaboration. To bring this bold vision to life, TSC worked closely with SAP to design an immersive learning environment, fully enabled by the latest technology.

TSC was responsible for the entire interior and brand experience design of the academy. Weaving interactive digital touchpoints through purposefully designed work and meeting room spaces. Large groups could gather in the townhall where an immersive stage was created for expert talks and knowledge sharing.

And to support a dynamic and evolving experience, the Engineering Academy uses The Storytelling Suite. This gives SAP ultimate flexibility over tools for content creation, interactive learning, and dynamic storytelling experiences.

Every part of this project was carefully aligned with SAP’s end-goals; from the early stages of strategy and concepting, to the final execution.

Results

The SAP Engineering Academy is purpose-built to foster innovation. It leverages an array of immersive technologies to put developers at the center of the action – making them the heroes of the SAP story.

The captivating environment engages participants fully; they can abandon preconceptions and focus their minds entirely on creative problem-solving.
